A grand sculptural vase hand-thrown from red clay sourced in Sansepolcro, Tuscany, featuring an elongated and tapered form. The central surface is adorned with geometric reliefs, spherical motifs, and Renaissance-inspired bas-relief decorations, all painstakingly handcrafted. This vase is a remarkable example of Maestro Mengoni’s mastery of the abborchiato technique. The vase is further enriched with a lustrous pure platinum finish, applied using the terzo fuoco (third firing) technique. This finish captures light to create a vibrant and luminous effect. Finally, the surface undergoes a manual antiquing process using a secret natural blend infused with sandalwood ash. The artist’s signature is engraved into the clay on the visible surface of the vase.
