A sculptural vase crafted from red clay sourced in Sansepolcro, Tuscany, shaped into an elegant, sinuous form on the potter’s wheel. Its surface is richly adorned with geometric reliefs, spherical motifs, and Renaissance-inspired bas-relief decorations, all painstakingly handcrafted. This piece exemplifies Maestro Mengoni’s unparalleled skill in the abborchiato technique. The vase is further elevated by a gleaming pure platinum finish, applied using the terzo fuoco( third firing) technique. The surface is carefully antiqued by hand using a secret natural blend enriched with sandalwood ash. The artist’s signature is engraved into the clay on the visible surface of the vase.
